About Dennis

With more than two decades of judicial experience, Dennis is exceptionally qualified to assess the strengths and weaknesses of cases and is adept at explaining those considerations to litigants in a respectful and clear way. He is detail-oriented and masters all briefs and materials submitted in advance.

He has tried complex, high-stakes litigation involving multiple parties and is an expert in the rules of evidence.

Dennis has received outstanding ratings from members of the Dayton Bar Association for his knowledge of the law, temperament and efficiency.

Dennis has been an adjunct law professor at the University of Dayton School of Law, where he taught Civil Trial Practice.

Prior to being elected judge, Dennis was the Montgomery County First Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. In 1994, Dennis was named the Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association’s Assistant Prosecutor of the Year.
